Adsense January 2009 PIP!

There's a PIP or Payment in Progress already for Adsense January 2009 earnings. It appeared just at the right timing when I badly needed some cash. I expect to see Payment Sent by February 27, 2009. I won't be getting very high earnings from adsense this coming adsense payment. But it's pretty much higher compared to what I have earned this month of february. Adsense ecpm is very low, CTR went down as well. I think this has something to do with the current economic crisis. Well, just my two cents. How about you, are your adsense earnings higher this month of February or was January a better month?

Overall from adsense and my other affiliate and make money online programs, I'm still a four figure dollar earner. Earnings have been well within the same range. But am still hoping for higher revenues in the upcoming months.

Have you checked your adsense stats today? If you have then you must have noticed the delay in the reporting of your impressions and earnings. Well, it happened to me and I did panic because today is a good day for me. My impressions for my adsense account did not coincide with the impressions my statcounter and sitemeter have recorded. The earnings are really low too.

But don't fret guys, this is happening to you, to me and to all others. Bloggers have blogged about this. Forums have discussed about this too. It seems Adsense is stuck this Valentines day. Let's just hope adsense will update our stats correctly and give us the money that's due to us. Let's wait and see for the adsense team to fix this one. Probably there's a bug in their system or they could be up for some weekend update.

Ways to Increase Your Adsense ECPM!

How do you increase your adsense ecpm?

If you run adsense on your website or blog, a good ecpm is very important. I'm not expert when it comes to increasing adsense ecpm because I myself am still having problems increasing my ecpm. ECPM still fluctuates at tremendous difference at times. Nonetheless, I have a few tips to share, tips I use myself although the results may not always be satisfactory.

Increase adsense ecpm by:

1. Including high paying keywords in the blog post (for example of keywords I think pay high are banks, bank accounts, credit cards, savings)

2. Minimize adsense blocks on your website. So instead of putting 3 large squares you can put only 2. The theory behind is that less is more with adsense. The lesser block ads you raise the competition among advertisers for the advertising spot. And with the theory that google places high paying ads first then doing this lessens the chances of getting those low paying ads.

3. Remove ads from pages with low clicks or CTR. Smart pricing can affect your site. Websites not performing well in adsense can drag down your other well performing websites. So you may want to try and experiment with this.

4. Try to get organic traffic more. Organic traffic is targeted and should likely convert well.

5. Change the colors and ad sizes your adsense ads once in a while. I noticed increase in ECPM if I change my ad colors and sizes.

6. Remove the adsense ads for a few minutes in your blog then put them back later. I do use this trick at times but I'm not so sure with the results. But it's worth a try for it may trigger the appearance of other ads (hopefully high paying).

7. Add other competition for adsense, like chitika. According to some bloggers online, when they place chitika along with adsense they saw increase in ecpm. I have tried this method but it's too early to conclude. But it's worth the try.

Adsense PIP for October is Here!

Good news for all adsense publishers who are waiting to be paid this october 2008. Finally the Adsense PIP is visible in my account. Do check on yours too. Now that my adsense payment is on PIP- Payment in Progress- October 23, 2008. I will wait for a few more days for the money to be successfully sent to Western Union so I can cash out.

Bothered why I blocked my earnings? I just don't feel like sharing it now. You will know about it later. Meanwhile check the screenshot below.

Determine High Paying Keywords For Adsense

Is it possible to find high paying keywords for adsense? How do you find high paying keywords for adsense?

Yes, you can determine the high paying keywords for adsense or at least get an idea of how much advertisers are willing to pay for certain keyword. I had no idea about this when I started blogging and it took a while for me to discover this.

So here's how. Use Google Adwords to determine high paying keywords that you can scatter all over your post so that ads regarding those keywords will show up. There's no guarantee however that you'd be paid exactly according to the results in the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, but it's worth a try. In my case it works most of the time. This is one of my secrets.

Less is More with Adsense

I noticed a sudden drop of adsense revenue last february. I can't figure out why for sure but I had to adjust and experiment once more with how the ads in my blogs. Today I think I figured it out. After a week of experimetation I noticed that less ads results more money for me in terms of how much I get per click on my adsense ads.

For instance in almost all my blogs with adsense ads on them I only put two adsense for content. For my Lady's Confession blog and Make Money Online blog I have one large rectangle inside my every post and one skyscrapper in the sidebar. I only allow one post to show in my homepage. I do all of these on the theory that the lesser ads in my blogs the more concentrated the ads will be. By that I mean, google will only show the most targeted ads, high paying ads in my blogs. If I use too many block ads, I'm giving room for low bidding advertisers. If there are many low paying ads in my blogs and visitors click on them the lower my cost per click is thus affecting my overall earnings.

This is a statement I gathered from JohnTP as he quoted Jane (I don't know which Jane he is referring):

The theory is that sites bid for their ads to be placed on contextually relevant web sites with the highest bidders getting the best adsense spots (the higher the better). If you only show 4 ads in 1 block, then adsense will place the highest 4 bidding advertisers in those spaces netting you the highest profit. The more ads you show, the more lower-bidding advertisers show up on your page that when those get clicked, your cpc becomes lower than it could be if they weren’t on your page to begin with.

The statement above supports my concept. Although there are other factors to consider. A major one is the keywords used.. For instance in my Lady's Confession blog, when I made a post mentioning jewelry, gold and diamonds, I get over a dollar click. So if you will implement lesser ads in your blogs try to target keywords which you think are high paying. Try it yourself and see if it works for you.
